What an absolute wonderful find.
This is an original 1950's Coca Cola working bank. You put a coin in the coin slot, then lift the bottle tab and the coin falls in to the bank and a little Coca Cola bottle falls out.
This bank is excellent shape, but has been played with a little. It has a few very small scratches and a few very small nicks. These are not noticeable at arms length. On the door that opens to let the bottle fall out, it has the words "lift door remove bottle" part of the paint is missing on "remove bottle".There is also a little bottle on this door and it has some of the paint missing on it.
There are eight slots in the bottle holder, but there are only 6 bottles. From what I have read, there is suppose to be 7 bottles.
On the back of this bank it has the following, 20th century productions N.Y.C. Pat Pend. Made in U.S.A.
This is a very hard bank to find in this condition and it still works. This bank is super hard to find in any condition.
It measures 5 3/8 inches tall, 2 1/2 inches wide or 2 5/8 inches wide, if you include the tab that opens where the little bottles fit and it is 2 1/4 inches deep or 2 3/8 inches deep, if you include the little tab that opens the bottle dispenser.
A little clean up and this will be a super addition to your vintage original Coca Cola collection.
