This is a rare opportunity for those of you west of the Great Pond to find a Julip model horse. These little model horses are made in England and that is w I purchased my bonny stallion back in the mid-1980s. I no longer have the box, and if t was a tag with him, it is long gone, but he is still a fine specimen. The stallion stands 6 1/2" high from bottom of hoof to tip of ear and is approximately 6 1/2" long. He is made of a latex material with wires embedded in his legs so his legs can be posed. His mane and tail are of a natural fiber but I'm not sure what it is. It could be wool but it feels more like real hair. The stallion is a light chestnut coloring with a very pale blonde mane and tail. He has a small white heart-shaped blaze on his forehead. T is a little bit of crazing on several of his legs from bending them in poses but you have to practically put your nose on his legs to see it. His saddle and bridle are in great shape. Both are made of leather. The saddle is an English-style saddle with metal stirrups and the bridle has metal rings and bit. His mane and tail are in excellent condition. T is no manufacturer's mark on his body. I just remember that the shopowner in London told me he was a Julip and was quite popular in England. I wasn't thinking in terms of collecting back then.
