Up for auction is a vintage hand made, hand tooled, wooden carpenter's tool caddy or box. It measures 25 1/2" long x 10 1/4" wide x 4 1/2" deep; if to top of handle measures 10 1/4" tall. I am not sure what type of wood was used, may be oak; it has open sides on either side of mid-running handle; on one side is slots or slits for saws (see secondary photos). T is definite wear and use to this item, but it adds to the patina and workmanship is very good. A few old paint dripping stains (visible in secondary photos). It is in very good condition - overall. Very sturdy piece; no loose ends, no slivers. Inset photos in gallery photo show close up of handle and the edges w small-headed nails were used. I purchased this at estate sale, w unfortunately, all I learned it was made by family member who was carpenter beginning in the 1920s. I think it would be great for garden tools, or just for display purposes. It will need a bit more cleaning. Shipping is based on zip code and includes insurance coverage. NOTE: ebay uses UPS for calculations, so actual costs may be less than what is presented. I do accept money orders. Please email me any questions.
