Up for auction is this colorful vintage back bar display/beer advertising statue/figure. The beer is Holihan's Pilsener and it was (is?) made by Diamond Spring Brewery, Inc., Lawrence, Mass. The figure is so cheerful and colorful. It features a white handlebar-mustached butler holding an ice cold glass of the ale. He has white eyebrows and is wearing a yellow tuxedo jacket and black pants and bowtie. This is a very well made statue: it's a hard cast-plastic (as you can see, the seams are very obvious) and has weatd time very well. He stands supported with two pegs, but the statue is made so that t is a lot of give, so he doesn't come off the stand. It's all well made and in very good vintage condition. I only see one spot w t is tiny bit of yellow paint loss (less than a millimeter) and the splotch on the base is dirt. It needs a good scrubbing. This is a super vintage advertising piece!He stands at 12 1/2 inches at his highest point (the beer glass) and his shoulder-width is about 10 inches. The base is about 8 1/2 by 3 by 5 inches.I ship within one business day of receipt of cleared payment.
