20th century, bottom of case branded with circular trademark for G & B. Case appears to be of pine, paint-decorated with a scene of four African-American gentlemen seated at a table playing poker. The men are depicted in the caricaturist style of the period. The violin is painted similarly with half-length portraits of three of the gentlemen illustrated on the case; case dimensions only 29.5` long x 9` wide.
