Very Old Violin - Labelled Jacobus Steiner in Abfamprope Oenipontum - 1739 Overseas Viewers must please request an accurate Postal Quote prior to bidding . The Royal Mail do not accept international packages of this size anymore through the previous Small Parcels service, therefore I will need to use an alternative courier. The photos are of the actual item and an accurate reflection of its overall condition. This is a very Old Violinsold for Spares or Repair. Detail on the Label inside the Sounbox states: Jacobus Steiner in Abfam - prope Oenipontum 1739 The Soundbox remains intact and in my opinion in Very Nice Condition for its age. It has a few typical minor usage/storage marks. There is a very short hairline only 20mm long near an 'f' hole otherwise it is without any further hairline cracks whatsoever. The Soundpost remains in position. The Strings and Fine Tuner Connections are missing (as seen in the photographs). The Ebony ? Tailpiece has an attractive inlaid Mother of Pearl Flower . The Purfling Lines are Inlaid (not painted). In all honesty this appears to be a nice item. I simply sell it for spares or repair as I do not know anything about violins. I assume that it should play with the strings complete and tensioned correctly. The 4 Tuning Pegs are Wood (not plastic). The Violin Measures approximately 23 1/2 " (
