This is the book that commemorated the 250th Anniversary Exhibition of the work of the exalted master Cremonese violin maker, Guarneri del Gesu, which was held at the Metropolitan Museum in New York in 1994. The exhibition brought together a very rare opportubity to see 25 of the rarest and most revered violins in one place. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to see these violins and was planned and put together by the world renowned violin dealer and expert, Peter Biddulph.This is the book which celebrates the exhibition and gives much detail, together with beautiful pictures of each instrument exhibited. This includes the famous "Ole Bull", Yehudi Menhin's "Lord Wilton", "Haddock", "King Joseph" and Paganini's "Il Cannone". The book also includes measurements of all these beautiful violins.It is a new copy from a limited run of books and must be part of any collectors or experts bookshelf.
