For auction is a figurine of a couple made by Jean Gille / Vion & Charles Baury who founded the Rue de Paradis-Poissonniere factory of France in about 1845. They are made of painted biscuit which is a type of unglazed porcelain. Sadly his pieces are quite under-appreciated but are slowly working their way up the ladder. The figurine is of a gentleman dressed quite nicely and painted very well. The piece is in great condition with missing index finger and a small chip to his robe by his elbow neither of which is very obvious when on display. He is about 10 inches tall and the base has a diameter of 4.375 inches. The figure is marked with the VB mark on the blue raised piece of porcelain underneath. A very nice piece that would make a great addition to any collection. Porzellan Porcelaine Figure Figur Juene Paypal for international bidders only unless otherwise discussed.
