For auction is a large artifact collection. All pieces are from the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Southwest Virginia. These are from Smyth and Washington Counties. T are 315 + pieces in this collection. A brief description is as follows: Some pieces have elmers glue on them which is included at no extra charge. Photo 1~~~~ The nice Holston point in the center is 3" long...... for reference. This includes Big Sandys,Palmers, drills and nice triangles. Photo 2~~~~ The Savanna River in the center is 2 1/8" long... again for reference.This includes a Dalton,Kirk,Big Sandy,Drills and triangles. Photo 3~~~~ This include snapped base Kirks,Knife blades,Guilford,and scrapers. Photo 4~~~~ This is a group of misc points , blades, scrapers ,cores ,and knives of various shapes and condition. Photo 5 ~~~~ This group is WELL worth a real close look. The chisel tip Thebes {above the game stone} is 2" long. T are Decatur,various styles of Kirk,LeCroy,McCorkle,Big Sandy and Palmer.These are glued to the cotton {elmers,again} in the frame. Photo 6~~~~ This group also is a real nice one.The Morrow Mountain in the center left is 2 5/8 ". This one has Daltons,Big Sandy,Garth Slouth ,a drill and triangles. Photo 7~~~~ This is a neat group of various quartz points.The Dalton in the center left is 1 5/8 ". Photo 8~~~~ This is the last of the pictures. The full grove axe is 5 1/2 ". The Adena is 3 3/4 ". The saddle back banner is made of a brown mottled chlorite. It is a really nice item. The shell items are in great shape. The frames are included . Shipping will be $20.00.
