CONTAINS AN ACCOMMODATIONS DIRECTORY AND A MAP OF THE CITY " Soft cover foldout brochure with color photo of a beach scene spread over the front and back covers. Not dated. My best guess is the 1950's-1960's. Likely issued by the Virginia Beach Chamber of Commerce. Unfolds to 16 panels (eight on each side).Provides brief information on hotels; motels & motor courts; inns, guest houses, lodges; and apartments & efficiency cottages in Virginia Beach. Contains a four-panel color map of the city.From Wikipedia: Virginia Beach is a resort city with miles of beaches and hundreds of hotels, motels, and restaurants along its oceanfront. Every year the city hosts the East Coast Surfing Championships as well as the North American Sand Soccer Championship, a beach soccer tournament. It is also home to several state parks, several long-protected beach areas, three military bases, a number of large corporations, two universities, Edgar Cayce's Association for Research and Enlightenment, and numerous historic sites.The brochure is in good + (plus) condition.
