A beautiful limited edition Visconti European Constitution fountain pen in blue -- the same color as the European flag!!! LIMITED EDITION: NUMBER 809 OF ONLY 1200 AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE On October 29 2004, the Treaty on the European Constitution was signed in Rome. For this important event, Visconti was commissioned by the Italian government to create this fountain pen, which all signers were to receive as a precious and unique gift. Furthermore, Visconti was authorized to produce a limited edition of 1200 fountain pens and to use the official logo of the event in order to celebrate this historic occasion. This limited edition Visconti European Constitution writing instrument, produced in Florence Italy, is new and unused. The design of the pen belongs to Visconti's "Squaring the Circle" collection and its extra large size mirrors the importance of the occasion it has been dedicated to. The Visconti European Constitution's cap and barrel have been crafted by hand from plant resins. The blue color is the same color as the European flag while all trim are plated in Rhodium -- a beautiful combination of colors! The pen's clip carries the twelve stars of the European flag while the four sides of the cap band are imprinted with the roman numerals I through IV to remind us of the four chapters of the European Constitution.
