THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN MY TREASURES!** DESCRIPTION : You are bidding a MAGNIFICENT AND RARE silver bracelet that was handwrought in Mexico, circa 1930's to early 1940's. The design of this bracelet is attributed to world renowned silver maestro, FREDERICK (FRED) WALTER DAVIS. In the early 1930's, he was the fine arts and antiques manager at Sanborn's Drug (a department store in Mexico City). Maestro Davis devoted his entire adult life to Mexico's cultural revival and he was the first Director of the National Museum of Popular Arts and Industries. This necklace is masterfully crafted in a very classical design with a great art deco look. The identical bracelet, with rose quartz stones, is shown on page 117, figure 162, of Penny C. Morrill's fabulous book, William Spratling and The Mexican Silver Renaissance .
