Offered is a vintage Girl Scout Brownie Doll, purchased at an estate sale; so not certain of the age. The legs up to the hip, the arms to above the elbow an the head, I believe are porcelain. The body is a white cloth which is tightly stuffed, not certain of the material. The doll has on brown loafers, black knee socks with red ribbons on the sie. It is wearing a pair of brown shorts that zip up the front and snap at the wait. T is a green belt with a brass buckle that slides through the belt loops. The shirt is a white with tan and black stripes, that has snaps up the front; and a red ribbon with a button on top, which snaps at the neck. She is wearing a sash with 5 patches that seem to be some type of iron on, and t are the number "971", andt is a brownie/girl scout isignia that is fastened to the shirt with a small safety pin. Her hair is a short dark brown and she is wearing a brown cap. This measures 13" tall, and I could not find any mark as to the manufacture. This is in very good vintage, pre-owned condition.
