WELCOME TO MY EBAY AUCTION! Just a quick note before I describe the item being offered. I always email the winning bidder 1-3 days after the close of auction unless stated otherwise in my description; so, if you have not received a winning notification email/invoice thru eBay or by me personally then you might have your spam filter turned on. I welcome any and all questions, so feel free to email me. Also, I charge only the exact shipping amount (insurance is extra) - NEVER any extra handling/packaging fees. Now onto my `auction!
This is a gorgeous Victorian moss green glass enameled dresser jar with metal trim and foot mounts. The metal doesn't magnetize so it might be brass. The color is a bit dark in my pics - the glass is sort of an irridescent light green (almoist has a stretch glass quality to it). It has the white enamel seen in Mary Gregory pieces, as well as gold detailing. This dresser box is probably late 1800s to early 1900s. It measures approx. 3-1/2" high x 4-7/8" wide. The hinge opens and closes nicely. No chips or cracks in the glass but t are some light scratches (mentioned merely for accuracy's sake). The enamel is still well-defined. The feet have a single faux jewel in each, and the only problem with the piece that I could find is that one of the faux emerald jewels has been replaced with a clear jewel. Fortunately, it is the left back foot and not readily noticeable when looking at the piece from the front. Metal has some patina and oxidation. T are handpainted gold numbers on the inside bottom of 10 and A/1138. A truly lovely piece for the Mary Gregory or dresser jar collector. I decided not to place a reserve but just start the auction at the least amount I would take for this item. Thanks for looking at my auction. Again, please email me with any questions before bidding. Winning bidder to pay for U.S. Priority Mail or Priorty Flat Rate (which you can calculate for your zip code thru the ebay shipping calculator provided). I charge only actual shipping amounts - never any extra for handling. Insurance is required for this item. Only PayPal is accepted per eBay's new rules for sellers and buyers. California residents must pay for 7.75% sales tax unless a VALID RESALE CARD IS SUBMITTED TO ME (just a resale number is not acceptable - this card must be received before item can be shipped, or tax will be added. If the winning bidder is a resale buyer and does not have access to a resale card, one can be emailed to you for completion and signature and then mailed back to me. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for understanding. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS YOU ARE WELCOME TO BID, BUT YOU MUST EMAIL ME BEFORE BIDDING. Iâe(tm)ve had some problems with items getting stuck in Customs for long periods and I want to be sure you are clear on shipping costs and arrival time. Sorry - I will no longer ship to Italy. I will only ship internationally by Global Express Mail, or any other method that provides insurance and tracking. I realize that this is more expensive but that is the only way it can be tracked should it get lost or stalled in Customs. Finally, I provide exact amount paid for the item on the Customs form âe" NO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you for understanding. The free listing tool.
