This is a vintage telephone made by US Telephone Company in 1968, which is hallmarked on the bottom. The pattern name is Contessa and is it also says on the bottom: This housing conforms to drawing B-696501, F-56660 (Gold), New York Telephone Company No., 205--ZL2-58, Contessa -- US-5. Under that is: United States Telephone Company Mfg. 8-68 and Ser. No. 18856, Patent Pending, Made in Japan. It measures 9" tall x 11" wide. It has some wear on the brass and needs a better cleaning, but otherwise looks to be in good shape. The cord is a 4 prong adaptor without a cover and I do not know if it works or not because I do not have an adaptor. It is sold as is, so please ask questions before bidding. It is heavy, so if anyone wants a quote for cheaper shipping, please send me an email with your zip code. I have many items up for auction & am happy to combine shipping. Thanks for looking! Canadian & Oversees residents: I only accept PayPal. I try to calculate to the best of my ability the weights for shipping, but sometimes with all of the bubble wrap and packing, the weight is more than I expect, so I may not always ship USPS. If you have a problem with this, please contact me before bidding. |
