This is my doll, given me in 1952 or 1953, but I think she is a 1951 model. Her body is marked Vogue Doll. She is strung with moving eyes and straight legs. Eyebrows and lashes are painted blonde. The stringing is stretched but intact and she still holds a pose. Her brown eyes are stuck half open. Her caracul hair was originally braided, but all hair is intact and not matted. Ginny's striped, collared coat fastened with a tiny snap has an original Vogue Dolls, Inc. cloth label. According to a helpful Ginny expert, the hat and coat were issued as a separate outfit in 1957. The hat elastic is stretched due to the age of the material. I am also including the unusual shoes, which are not original, and the handmade gingham dress and panties shown in the pictures.
