VINTAGE VOGUE GINNY DOLL! This Ginny doll is from a group of dolls that my sister and I received and played with as youngsters, I believe in the mid-1950's. She is such a pretty doll, although her brunette hair has gone wild, and needs help! It seems to be attached all the way around, but needs to be styled. She is approximately 8" tall, and is a walker doll. Her "walk" movement is fine, her legs and head move like they should. She has sleep eyes which close just fine when she reclines, but they do sometimes stick when you set her upright, and need a nudge to open. She has molded lashes. Her face coloring seems really good, and I can find no marks or blemishes. Her hands and feet seem fine...no missing fingers or toes. Her arms are loose, and I can see on her right shoulder that the seam is not tight, like her left shoulder is.. Therefore, her arms and her one shoulder should probably be repaired. She has no funny odors, and we have always had a non-smoking home.The markings on her back read GINNY Vogue Dolls Inc. Patent No. 2887549 (I think)The tagged outfit is, I believe, original ...although she no longer has panties or shoes. There is one strap from her dress around her neck, but I am not sure that this is how the original straps were used.
