MIB) vintage 1953 Ginny Doll named "Angela" #65 from the Debutante Series of dolls offered that year. We say near mint only because she has very few stray hairs that are typical from a doll not having her hair restyled and being over 50 years and not played with, just stored and a slight skip in the back center seam on the stiff crisp original slip (see photos). Most might consider her mint-in-box but everyone criteria and expectations are different so please view all the photos for a close look and see if she isn't one you might enjoy in your collection as it is now time for her to find a new home. Ginny Angela is a factory dressed doll wearing her crisp mint tagged outfit which includes the dress with original belt, matching panties with excellent elastic in waist and legs (not redone), crisp original vintage Vogue stiff tulle slip (not one of the repro), black center snap shoes in excellent/mint condition, original socks, coordinating pink purse with original correct factory blue flowers & her floral pink/blue/white band and bow trimmed straw hat that matches the trim on her dress. No fading, no discolorations. A darling doll that you see now and then offered but rarely complete, correct and nr. mint in her originally correct marked box.ADD'L DETAILSGinny is hard plastic marked on her back Vogue Doll. Her hair is in the original set with original Vogue pink ribbons that are in the original factory tied condition and clean! Her braids are thick and full and have not been redone; no replaced ribbons! Her hair has not been re-braided and left as it was from the factory with the original ribbon ties, not replaced ; after 50 years plus she has a few stray hair pieces from storage, very common but nothing to us that takes away, very typical . She has nice visible Tosca brows and lashes with great factory pink cheek coloring with no repaints or enhancements; no rubs or scratches. Her two-tone brown eyes may need assistance to open and close which is common and acceptable to most collectors. Angela's outfit consists of the polished cotton dress with light blue organdy top trimmed with floral banding, lace and bows. Her organdy attached top is a light blue and still in great condition with no browning, no fading and no discoloration which you often see on these older organdy fabrics . Her matching panties have great elastic in both waist and legs. Beautiful stiff slip, original to this outfit and from the 1950's; not a later creation. Upon close inspection when we were photographing and lifted up her slip to photograph her panties we noted that the center seam in the back of the slip looks like it missed being sewn about 1" down from waist or wasn't securely sewn when made and separated when she was dressed; most may not even notice to mention. The outfit is very crisp and the organdy top too is amazingly still a beautiful pale blue; no fading to the outfit. The colors are bright and clean and outfit is crisp and never washed, ironed, repaired or had anything done to it. She wears her original black plastic belt that is excellent with gold tone buckle. Ginny's straw bonnet is clean, bright and has no darkening to the straw and no nips out of the hat; original trim. Her elastic chin strap is great and has nice stretch.
