WHAT IS RARE ...is a 70 to 50 year old camera that is functioning properly , not just as a decoration, or worse... a fleamarket orphan!Please read the Description carefully and completely to fully understand what you are buying!!Please note , the item description may read familiar to some... Optically and Mechaincally EXCELLENT! "For the rest who may wish more information.... Please continue reading.Voigtlander from the very beginning had some of the best cameras available on the market. During the late 1940s through 50's, Voigtlander supplied a bevy of folding ?cameras for the amateur market. One of those was the Voigtlander Bessa I in 6x9 format, making a pretty terrific camera for horizontal framing such as in landscape photography.The camera on offer is a very nice Voigtlander fitted with the most excellent Voigtlander's standard ( four element Tessar type ) f3.5 / 105mm Color-Skopar lens ... a very excellent and renowned performer. Apologize for the dust specs you see in the photos at left...didn't notice them till AFTER the photos were taken, a quick blow with the air brush and they're gone.This model does not have a rangefinder, so focusing is via estimation... you judge the distance and set it on the lens. However, like all these folders, if you set the lens at its hyper-focal distance (marked on the lens ) and set the camera at f8 - 11, your percentage of in focus shots will be very good indeed. But, for those uncomfortable without a rangefinder, Voigtlander did offer an accessory shoe rangefinder, which I also have in stock .NOT included is the 6x4,5 format insert that is so often missing from these 65+ year old Bessas !!Film is 120 professional film of course... and with a scanner, you'll have multi-meg digital images as well... a whopping 6cm x 9cm "sensor" ... try to match that Nikon or Canon or Sony !!!!!!More to the point maybe, is that in this auction ... unlike 99% of like auctions, you are buying a 60+ year old camera that has been CLA'd ( serviced ) and is working as intended so long ago. Almost every folding camera I list has been renovated to perform to its original specs. If it does not, I repair or replace ... within a reasonable time frame of course!Cosmetically , the camera is also in excellent+++ condition , the bellows subtle, and the shutter ( Prontor-S ) is "right-on!!" Over all it is not mint of course... nothing 60+ years old is really mint ( a.k.a.
