Voigtlander Vintage German Binocular 7x50 bronze/brass

This is a vintage Voigtlander binocular, 7x50, with metal, maybe zinc, prism housings and bronze or brass prism covers and objective tubes. They stand 7 in. tall and are 7 3/8 in. wide from the outside of one objective housing to the other at full extension.The binocular is wrapped in a pebbled plastic material that is broken way in several places-see photos. Markings are Voigtlander , Braunschweig on the left, Crown, M, 1381 N, lion symbol, 7x50, No.31107. The plastic around the right eye cup has 3 significant chips in the outter rear circumference. The eyepieces rotate smoothly and may be locked into place with lock rings with locking screws. The screw for the right side locking ring is missing. The eyepiece housings are metal, knurled and graduated. The right eyepiece lens has a small but visible pit on the exterior surface, about half way from the center to the edge. I estimate the diameter of this pit to be about 0.02 in. It is not visible when looking through the binocular. T are several black spots in the view, which is otherwise quite clear but not crystal clear, showing a bit of haze. A good cleaning is likely to improve that. The objective lenses both show some minor scratches on the outside surfaces. No chips on lenses. Both objective lens rims are very slightly out-of-round, but not by much. The neck strap is buff leather retained with steel rivets. T is a case. It has a small circle of some sort of tar-like material on the top that is impressed 1381 M N. I do not believe this case is original as it is about 3/8 in. too tall to hold the binocular snuggly in the vertical. The case has a torn neck strap, missing hand strap and the top is crudely resewn to the leather hinge piece. Shipping to the lower 48 will be flat rate $ 15.00.
