This is an amazing lot! These three beautiful and elegant pieces are from Von Shierholtz porcelain in Plaue, Germany. This lot includes a pair of candlesticks and a lovely center piece bowl! All three pieces feature Cherubs (Putti).
All three pieces are stamped with the Von Shierholtz maker's mark on the bottom. (The Kovel's Dictionary of Maker's Marks confirms that this is the factory's mark from 1907 until the present.) The candlesticks are also stamped "Germany". The Bowl's Measurements: The interior of the bowl is 10 inches long. The bowl's width is 6 1/2 inches. The height from the table to the rim of the bowl is 5 inches. Each of the cherubs are about 4 inches tall. The Candlesticks' Measurements: The candlesticks are about 7 3/4 inches tall. The cherubs are 4 1/2 inches tall. The base of each candlestick is about 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Condition: The candlesticks appear to be in excellent condition! T does not appear to be any chips, cracks, or crazing. The bowl has some minor chips on the two large flowers' edges on the bowl's side. The chips are very minor and only are on the edges of the large flowers. (Both sides are pictured.) Otherwise, t is no visible cracking or crazing. A Description: Please look at the pictures. You'll note the gold painted accents on the intricate leaf designs of the candlesticks. Each cherub appears to be engaged in a task. One of the cherubs on the bowl strums a lute and the other reads a scroll. The cherubs on the candlesticks are holding a green and tan package. The flowers are raised and painted in multiple colors with excellent attention to detail and shading. The pieces retain the vibrancy of the colors that were used in the Rococo Baroque Era! They are ornate, gold, and colorful! Do not miss out on this set! It is a real gem and would be a beautiful addition to any décor. Insurance is required on this purchase. I will ship with great care.
