This is a vintage 1930's or 40's auto store display box of 12 bakelite or catalin novelty gear shift balls or knobs for shifters or steering wheel spinners. The are in brown and green marbleized. There are 6 of each color, closest to color in the 7th photo, the other being a little light in the photos. They are 2" in diameter and about 1 1/2" high with threading on the inside. The box top is made to be scored and used for a dealer's display but it hasn't been done so I left it without photographing how it would look. Condition is very good with one having a tiny cracking as seen in the front of the 5th photo. I don't think they have ever been used. The box is in very good condition but does have some light staining on the top and bottom from storage (probably in a garage) as seen in the 11th and 12th photos. A rare display piece for any car enthusiast. Please look at the pictures carefully with the mouse and ask questions. Thank you for viewing. U.S. SALES ONLY. There is a $2.00 handling fee.
