Up for auction is an early and rare Buco Leather racing jacket. It has a super early Talon zipper and early Talon chain pulls on the front chest pockets. It has zip up cuffs with Talon zippers. It came from a recent estate of a guy who was an AMA racer who was racing in the late 1940's and early 1950's. He was a WWII B-24 Pilot and a super cool guy. I left his AMA pins on the pockets. The jacket has a chin strap collar. It has a 4 piece back and extra room at the back shoulder seam. The jacket measures 21" across shoulder seam to shoulder seam, 17" under arm to cuff, 23 1/2" shoulder seam to cuff, 19 1/2" across shoulder seam to shoulder seam, and 26" folded collar down the back to the waist. The jacket has no tears or holes. the leather is supple and nice. The tops of the shoulders have a little wear. The jacket was bought from the original owner who told me it was a Buco, it does not retain the original tag. I appears to be horsehide but I am not sure. This is a super rare and fantastic piece of American Motorcycle Racing History fresh from the original owner. THE FIRST MEASUREMENT IS NOT THE SHOULDERS. IT IS THE CHEST MEASUREMENT. UNDER ARM TO UNDER ARM IS 21" ACROSS.
