VTG 1940s WWII US Army Wool Jacket 15th Army Air Force 37 L This is an excellent vintage early 1940s WWII era United States Army jacket. The color is olive drab. It features Army Air Force patches on both sleeves and what I think are Tech Sergeant patches. There is a communication specialist patch on the lower right sleeve. There are screw back brass pins on the lapel (U.S. and Army Air Corps). The jacket has the original label dated 1941 inside of the inner pocket. The jacket has 4 front buttons and a button on each of the four pocket flaps. It has shoulder epaulettes with buttons. I believe it is made of wool with cotton pocket and sleeve linings. The upper back sides are pleated for ease of arm movements. It is single vented at the lower back. The jacket is in excellent pre-owned vintage condition except for one tiny wear hole near the Sgt patch on the right sleeve (see close up photo with pointer). The size is marked 37 L. Here are the approximate dimensions: - Shoulder Width: 17" seam to seam. - Chest: 37" (18 1/2" across under arms). - Waist: 32" (waist is 13" above the hem) . - Sleeves: 25" from shoulder seam. - Length: 30" from bottom of collar to hem.
