I will be listing a nice Japanese woodblock print collection in the upcoming week. All are from the same estate collection and are fresh to the market. Many rare woodblock prints including many Shin Hanga era prints and earlier woodblocks by famous artists. Please see my auctions for the entire collection.Up for auction is an original vintage Japanese woodblock print by artist Shiro Kasamatsu and dates from 1963. Titled "Ohara in Autumn" and has the artists signature in the lower left corner. Has the publishers mark impressed in the lower right corner as well as the number "307" pencil signed. In excellent original condition for its age. Has no tears, no folds or creases, no foxing, no holes, no water damage and the corners and edges are very nice. Appears it has not been framed. Woodblock measures approx. 16 3/4" by 11 3/16". Rare woodblock print and is a must for any collector. Found safely stored away for years at a recent 90 year estate. Please check my other auctions for other antique and vintage original Japanese woodblock prints from the same estate, including others by the same artist. The glare spots are from the lights reflection and NOT on the actual surface of the item. Good luck and feel free to email me with any questions.
