This is for a Vintage 1965 (date code, * ZIPPO) Zippo Silver Lighter with engraved vertical lines and the name "RON". Ronald Justin Bowers served actively in the US Army Airborne Infantry during the Vietnam War. It has a elastic "lossproof" cord attached. The bottom is marked "Bradford, PA., * ZIPPO (R), PAT. 2517191". The lighter is in good used cosmetic condition. It was not tested. It has minor scratches and scrapes. It has a 5 barrel hinge. It measures approx. 2 1/8" x 1 1/2" x 1/2". This item was acquired from the estate of Mrs. Ruth Ellen Bowers, wife of USMC GySgt Walter Russell Bowers.
