Offered for your consideration is a lovely vintage tea set with two exquisite peacocks on each piece and what appear to be flowering lotus blossoms, water lilies and blue delphiniums depicted on all pieces. Colors range from soft to striking shades of blues, pinks, greens, burnt orange, white and are contained within red bands laced with gilt. Ground for all design is a creamy ivory color. The pattern name is Satsuma, by ARNARD IMPORTS, INC. – 1979 Condition is excellent and has the usual crazing for older ceramic pieces. The only flaw I found is a one mm fleabite offset a little to the side of the spout. (This is shown on the photo with the spout facing forward.) There is also a little staining from tea on the under part of the spout at bottom, which may or may not soak out. I did not try to remove this as you only see it as is shown in the photo of the teapot lying down. I suppose it would remove if soaked in baking soda and water, but leave that choice to do so or not up to the buyer. All else looks beautiful and has no cracks, chips, or loss of the gilt. This gilding is quite all over all pieces, but so fine and difficult to photograph… I was able to capture some of it if you look closely at the 2 nd to last macro photo of two cups lying down in front. There you will see how some of the gilt is laced in and around the flowers
