The San Francisco 49ers were the "team of the decade" in the 1980s, winning three Super Bowl championships. They electrified the sporting world with the exploits of super stars such as Joe Montana, Dwight Clark, and Jerry Rice. Chalkline team jackets of the 1980s were renowned for their quality and rakish good looks, and have remained a classic design to the present day. This Vintage 1980s Chalkline SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS FOOTBALL TEAM JACKET is in good condition, with moderate chipping to the red finish of the three bottommost front closure snaps, some surface fraying and wear at the middle front hem, some lines of surface fraying and wear at the upper right chest, some wear at the upper left chest, a few small nicks and lines of surface fraying at the upper left back, some soiling to each knit cuff, a small hole in the interior lining at the middle back hem, a few small spots of whitish soiling at the interior middle back knit waistband, and with the overall use and age wear that the passage of over 20 years imparts (most pictured). Otherwise, the jacket is in fine shape, with no other damage to the tough gold satin construction. It boasts red and white knit collar, cuffs, and waistband in fine shape, and is complete with all of the original, fully functional front closure snaps.
