Please excuse the picture quality....it is very hard to do justice to the beautiful green color with the luminous iridescent glaze.I tried some enhancing of the background color to help give a different perspective on the green color...hope it helps.Pie Plate #1...I just call it a pie plate but it can be used for anything.. a tray or holder with handles or fruit holder, serving dish(all for dry foods and not hot foods) or just a decorative piece. A round plate with raised sides, pie plate shape or style with Handles on either side. 10.5" x 10.75" from rim to rim and 13.25"diameter from handle to handle. 1 7/8"(almost 2") tall. A very nice hand molded layered and indented edge on the inside and then the flat portion in the middle with the group of flowers,leaves and stems that are hand drawn or incised. The flat inside measurement is: 7.25" diameter. Wonderful Michoacan, Mexico Old 1940's white and sometimes more of a red color Pottery covered totally with luminous iridescent green glaze. Made with techniques of application and openwork. Hand painted with lead oxide or copper dissolved in water that will give the piece it's shiny glaze and then very carefully receives it's last firing.
