Up for your consideration we are pleased to have an original 1/25 scale Hobby Kit for Modelers - VINTAGE AMT American LaFrance COMPLETE LADDER CHIEF FIRE ENGINE #T598 W/ 3 SECTION NESTING AERIAL LADDERS! Made in USA Mid 1970's The box lid has been opened briefly to confirm that it contains all original pieces. It does. The plastic bags that hold many of the parts are still factory sealed though the box is not. Item includes all parts/pieces, instructions, authentic fire department decals, AMT mini catalog and a flyer for a Model truck contest that was held January 1976 through August 1976! Over 300 parts. Authentic siren, bell, horns and flasher lights. Model is over 16" long. Detroit Diesel V-8 engine. Entire body assembly is removable as a unit to display chassis detail. Operating outriggers.Rotating turntable. Scaled from original American LaFrance official factory blueprints. WHAT A vintage modeler's dream FIND! Note: The side of the box suggests a variety of modern or traditional colors such as lime green, red, lime yellow or white for the finished product. This box shows the lime yellow finished product, though please note that this model's plastic parts are red. I also have an identical model for sale ( other items !) that starts with white plastic parts instead of the red. FYI: The parts tree that contains the 'plated' pieces had one tiny item come off and so I cellotaped to the tree. Paint and cement not included in kit. Condition: See photos for details. Box is in decent shape, corners are mildly worn & top right corner is a bit wrinkled up (see pics), but the graphics still look alright.
