Vintage/An tique Gilbert Wooden Box Item is a vintage collectible Gilbert wooden toy box. Could have been erector set, steam toy? I believe the box to be from the 1920s. Box measures about 21 1/2 inches long, 8 1/2 inches high and is about 3 inches high. Has dovetail corners. Has two clasp hin ges on front which I believe are brass. Ends have brass handles which are shown in picture #4. Top right back has a hinge which is loo se on the back part of it. Back top hinges of cover are good. Label on front cover right reads: G ILBERT and is partly gone but is readable. There is an orange paint mark on the top cover , about 1/2 inch. Inside wood is in good condition. Bottom right corner of top cover reads: Boy's Size 70 7. Box weighs over 3 #, would be shipped Parcel Post. Ple ase email with any questions prior to purchase.
