Complete set 20 Makers of History 1908 edition. Includes: Romulus, Alfred, Cyrus, Darius, Xerxes, Alexander, Pyrrhus, Cleopatra, Hannibal, Caesar, Nero, William the Conquerer, Genghis Khan, Henry IV, Hernando Cortez, Queen Elizabeth, Mary Queen of Scots, Peter the Great, Marie Antoinette, and Josephine. From the library of one H. Ernest Schuyler of Springfield, who seemed to spend more time practising his signature in these books than reading them. Six of the volumes feel like they've never been cracked open, but have large, fancy signatures front and back, which adds character. See photos for examples. One volume has very old tape residue, and once has pencil scribbling marks inside front cover. Each volume sports H. Ernest's plain ink signature.
