I have a few more nice pieces of jewelry listed this week so if you have time check them out by I'm always happy to discount shipping with multiple purchases. This is a wonderful collar length Victorian book chain necklace. It features stampwork on some of the sections & little balls on the bottom. Many of these balls are dimpled & dented, which leads me to be 99% certain this is coin silver or better. There are no marks for metal content, but that's not uncommon with Victorian jewelry. It is however, plaque marked near the catch "RA'. If no content mark bothers you please do not bid. Laid flat from open end to hook catch it's about 15 -5/8" long. It probably will lose a hair of length when it's on, as it's a collar or choker necklace. Other than the balls being a bit dented, it's in good vintage condition for it's age. There is some 'greening' on some of the balls, & these should clean off nicely. My starting price is not for the faint of heart, but this is a fabulous necklace.
