This is for the Western Electric rotary dial telephone as shown - Made in the USA. This is known as a 5302 style - it is a hybrid made by the phone company in the 40's during the switch over in style to the standard 500 sets. It has a 302 style base (1946) with a newer thermoplastic shell dated 1961. This has a standard household modular jack that is hardwired - see photos.NOTE NOTE NOTE:DIALING OUT does NOT WORK on Cable Lines OR VOIP like Magic Jack, but the phone should still ring and can be used to talk on - just the dialing out may not work without a standard old time landline. Since we don't know what kind of carrier you may have - there is NO guarantee that the rotary will dial out - new telephone line technologies do not support the dialing.PLEASE READ ALL.SPECS:Basic Date: this is a true Frankenstein phone (dated inside 1946 through the 50s) - the phone company owned and fixed these phones for years and most have varying dates on the piecesShell material: Outer shell is hard plastic. Very good condition with normal usage scuffs and scratches - repolished - dated 1961Receiver: The receiver is Western Electric G1 bakelite. This is the original handset - very good condition.Cord: medium version coil - original hardwired - still stretches greatDial and Ring: Dial is metal (some minor scratches), turns and works as it should. Ring is nice and loud.Feet and Bottom: replaced felt feet in good condition - a few minor holes (replaced by the phone company). Bottom in good. This has a standard household jack plug (hardwired).Condition: Nice clean re-polished or replaced condition. All wires checked and in working order. Great condition for 50+ years. We do NOT super buff these phones to like new condition as they were meant to be everyday appliances - so most DO show some age wear with some scuffs and scratches on original parts. We clean the insides and out and test and fix all parts. These phones were very well made.Please judge the condition by the photos. These phones are heavy to ship - so check the shipping. This phone can be used as is, but is also awesome for stage props and film. These phones work in power outages with a land line that supports pulse rotary dialing.
