Vintage, utterly charming, decorative ceramic tile panels from California by the artist JARU, c1960-1970. Uncommon and unusual--very few like these have survived. The hand painted, then glazed tiles capture two classic French scenes, Le Hotel and Patisserie and nearby, some shops and the Buucherie...a woman is walking, a man is bicycling. The two panels complement each other--that's why I'm putting them up for auction together. Each one is 32" long by 8" by 3/4" deep, have 5 tiles each which are 6" square and each panel weighs 5 lbs., the frame is simple wood, painted black. All original, signed and have a seal on the back. These are Vintage panels but age has been kind and apologies are not needed. These weigh 10 lbs and will be about 12 lbs. shipping weight, cost per your zip code, let me invoice you before you pay.
