Vintage Roselane Pottery Figurine - Leaping Deer. Stands approximately 6" tall. Base measures 2-1/4" 1-7/8", approx. Incised on the bottom, "Roselane(in script) 127. Chocolate/hot chocolate brown glazing. Glazing seems to have collected a bit at the ridges and creases leaving thin streak lines. It's glazing not cracks. Very tiny chips at the tip of the ears. Looks like green floral clay is present on the bottom. Overall, good to very good previously owned condition.
Roselane Pottery was founded in 1938 by William and Georgia Fields.They worked out of their Pasadena, CA home. Their first productions were figurines for the local florist trade but by the early 1940's their attractive figurines were finding a retail market and a factory was built on Main Street in Pasadena.
