A retired Dept 56 Village Animated Skating Pond set, working and with the original box. I think this was the original skating set, #5229-9. It's in very good condition, missing a small dog figure and a medium sisal evergreen.The contents include a motorized pond with AC cord, 6 figures that include 4 magnetic skaters, one snowman, 6 sisal evergreen trees, and 2 birch clumps. The sixth figure piggybacks onto a skater.It works fine. The figures occasionally stall for a moment, then resume their routes. There are 4 skating patterns on the pond surface with some normal wear marks around them. It's been cleaned, the remaining marks could be removed with more effort.The box is in great shape with the original styrofoam end pieces. There are a couple of small water drop marks on the front, otherwise still glossy.Look at all of the shipping options. FedEx SmartPost is a good economy option in the US, but is slower. Priority Mail would be the fastest. I mail as soon as possible this time of year.
