Vtg D E Walker Visalia Saddle Silver Tex Ewell one Spur Northern California Estate Sale From a huge ranch/horse estate in Northern California...lots of western,cowboy tack, saddles, etc....but THIS is the ONE! D.E. WALKER - VISALIA1920's Tooled Saddle with Silverand Fringed Tapaderos also marked DE Walker This is an amazing antique saddle right out of the "Old West" and embellished with lots of silver. This Old Cowboy was quite proud of his saddle, as he put his name everywhere: R.E. "TEX" EWELL..c. 1920's.Tex lived in Arizona, and adorned his saddle with what appears to be Navajo made large silverconchos, with arrows, Swastikas and rolling logs. The brass horn has a silver bucking bronc rider on top,and the high cantle is rimmed in silver. Saddle bags are attached and also show TEX. This saddle is a substantial piece Old West American History.Great antique condition, for its age....I did not oil the saddle, as I felt the new owner may havedifferent methods of cleaning. I am not an expert, however, if you have additional questions, Iwill try and describe the best I can, dont hesitate to contact me. There is one single spur in the saddle bag, not marked, just an old cowboy spur. I haven't boxed up the saddle yet, so I dont have the actual weight. I estimate $100.00 w/ ins anywhere in us , Buyer is to pay actually shipping only.
