This is a round locket with a 1 1/4" diameter and a 3/8" profile. It hangs from a 9mm bale that unfolds open in the back for easy removal. It suspends from a 24" long x 5mm wide twisted rope chain with a working spring ring clasp. All metal is goldtone; it is unstamped. The shell is genuine and the cameo profile is hand carved. It measures 3/4" high x 1/2" wide and is cream and orange, the orange is nicely shaded. It is prong set in a cabochon frame with filigree work extending 1/4" beyond. It pries open on the right side and snap/locks shut. It holds two photos. The 1/2" hinge works perfectly. This locket is in great vintage condition, it is likely from the 1960's.
