You are bidding on a very nice vintage Lusterware dessert serving set that includes a tab handled cake plate and 6 matching dessert plates. The set was made in Japan by the Takito Company and carries the familiar TT Double Diamond backstamp crowned by the words “Hand Painted” with “Made in Japan ” below. This mark dates the set to between 1922 and 1944. The cake plate stands 1-1/4" high and is 9-1/2" in diameter. The 6 matching dessert plates are 6-1/4" in diameter. All 7 pieces are hand painted with tropical waterscapes at sunset and have blue Luster banding at the edges. There is some wear from normal use and the occasional factory defect but overall the set is in lovely condition with no chips or cracks and no crazing. I am in the process of listing 100s of unique pieces of Lustreware and hand painted porcelain tableware brought to me by a friend who has collected for nearly 50 years.
