VINTAGE HATTIE CARNEGIE DEEP BLUE RHINESTONE BROOCH PIN WOW is right! It's not often you come across such a large and exquisite rhinestone brooch, especially one signed by designer Hattie Carnegie! WOW! Beautiful deep blue glass rhinestones surrounded by clear marquise stones. The setting is slightly domed to catch the light. The three center stones are each almost 1" high! ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING AND PERFECT FOR ANY SEASON! This brooch is so unusual - first, the central stones are huge! The center blue stone is round (chaton?) and has an aurora borealis finish. The two flanking blue stones have an unusual cut - almost as if they were reverse set and pyramidal in shape. If you look closely you can see horizontal lines as if they were step cut. All this is accented by marquise and round cut clear rhinestones, all prong-set. The large blue stones are in excellent condition except for one tiny chip on one stone. The AB coating is superb! A couple of the clear stones show the slightest bit of darkening, but still SO sparkling! The safety clasp on the pin is slightly bent, but works perfectly. This amazing brooch is 1 1/4" high x 3 1/4" wide. Signed "Hattie Carnegie" on a cartouche. I am listing several vintage pieces this week !
