Presenting an elegant HECTOR AGUILAR 940 SILVER parure; NECKLACE, BRACELET & EARRINGS. Hector Aguilar opened the Taller Borda in 1939 in Taxco with the Castillo brothers and started creating some of the most beautiful silver jewelry ever seen. Seventy five years later these creations are still highly sought after. It is rare to fine an entire set together. All four pieces are hallmarked. Necklace and bracelet "HA" in the correct stylized signature, "940", "TAXCO", "MEXICO" and "TALLER BORDA". Each earring has a hallmark, one with "HA", "940", "TAXCO", "MEXICO", and the other with "TALLER BORDA". They are circa 1948-62. The necklace is an extra long length of 18 inches. Bracelet length 8 inches. Earrings measure 1-3/8 inches. The earrings have been converted to pierced, but hallmarks are in tact as it is on each earring drop. If you would prefer sterling screw-backs for the earrings I would gladly provide them. The weight of all four pieces together is 180 grams. This is a beautifully crafted set with a high silver content (940) and they have a nice weight to them, yet they are still so comfortable to wear! They are in beautiful vintage condition, no dings, or repairs. Light surface scratches consistent with age.
