Vintage Hitchcock Dining Set Table (2 Leaves) & 8 Chairs (2 Arm) Rush Seats Eagle StencilingItem DescriptionNote: All items in our store include NO sales tax to our US customers!Here is a great set of 8 Hitchcock chairs and a Hitchcock table for your buying consideration. Recently acquired the set at an auction. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself!A buyer recently selected this item, but then decided to cancel the order before paying. So, the item is available again for your buying advantage!These beautiful rush seat chairs were made by the Hitchcock Furniture Company of Hitchcocksville, CT. The company was in business from the mid 1800s until 2006. This set was most likely made in the mid-1970s.The eight chairs are in very good condition. There are 6 regular chairs and 2 arm chairs. Just some minor surface scratching. The stenciling all looks intact. Beautiful Eagle design on the back of each chair. I see no splits or repairs to the wood. Check out the great spindles on the four chairs. The rush seats are just beautiful, just some very minor finish loss. The exposed maple and gold painted enamel finish on all the chairs still looks good. I do see some minor finish loss that one would expect along the edges. Each Hitchcock side chair is 33.5" tall, by 15.5" across, by 16.5" wide. The arm chair is 20.5" wide. The seat pan is 17.75" off the floor in the middle.The table is just beautiful. Great finish on it still. The table is probably made of maple or cherry wood. Beautiful Pembroke style legs with gold stenciling on them and on the sides of the tables and leaves. There is a 2" scratch on one of the leaves that fold down and some other minor surface scratching. The table was probably was covered with the pads whenever used (Pads are for sale separately in our Ebay store). See listing # The table is 84" inches in length with the two leaves in. 42 " wide and the top is 29.75" off the floor. Each removable leave is 14" wide. This is a drop leaf table at both ends.The back of the seat of the chair says L. Hitchcock, Hitchcocksville, Conn, Warranted with their typical turned "N"s.We are also open to selling off the set piecemeal. The table and leaves would be $1,350 (table pads are for sale separately on Ebay). Each pair (2) of side chairs would be $495, the pair (2) of arm chairs would be $595. Sorry, there are some other pieces captured in the pics that are not included. Only the Hitchcock table and the 8 Hitchcock chairs described in this listing. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.We also have the table pads that were bought for the table back in 1975. The pads are a four piece set. One for each of the leaves and the other 2 for the main table and the drop leaves. The pads were even cut for the scalloped ends of the table! I have had a lot of clients use blanket ship companies like Antiques Express or one of the national moving chains for higher end furniture pieces like this one. I will also offer to deliver the chairs and table to within 150 miles of Wilmington, DE one way. Price would be $1.25 per mile for the round trip delivery plus any tolls/parking fees. So, for example, if 40 miles to your property and $10 in tolls, it would be $110 (2*40*$1.25+$10) for seller to deliver item to you.Make sure that this item meets your needs and requirements before deciding to acquire it. The item can be returned, but there is a $300 restocking fee to do so.
