Vtg HO "Casey Jones 10 Wheeler" by Varney Die Cast - Original Box - c1950's Up for auction is a vintage "Casey Jones 10 Wheeler" die cast engine made by Varney in its original box. This HO engine belonged to my Dad in the 1950's. When he packed up his hobby in 1958 he gave me all of the train cars, rails, etc., packed in several boxes. They have not been opened since as we never had the time to pursue his hobby. This "Casey Jones" engine appears to be in good, used condition. There are some places where the paint has rubbed off which could easily be fixed. I do not know if it has all of the parts or if it works. This is exactly as I found it in the box. I am also including as a "Freebie" the coal car. It is plastic and as you can see from the pictures the underside has split and needs repairs. This could be used for parts and it is also in a Varney box. The engine measures 5 1/2" long and is about 2" tall. The "free" plastic coal car measures almost 4" long and about 2" tall. I do not guarantee that the engine is in working order - it is being sold "as such". The coal car is a "Freebie" as it is in pretty rough condition.
