Not a modern imitation, this is an original Indian Motorcycle Enameled shirt or hat Badge from the 1940s. The vintage metal pinback badge features an Indian chief in molded relief with “Indian” in script letters. The frontside background is a deep blood Red enameling, and the plain metal back is marked “Indian Motorcycle Company”. The vintage badge measures 1-1/2” in diameter and is in very fine condition, with a small scuff to the enameling under the letter “i” and light surface scratches to the backside. T are no clips for the pins. A similar example is shown in “Motorcycle Memorabilia, A guide to Motorcycle-Related Collectibles, 1900-1965” by Roger Pribbenow, page 41.
