Here is a really handsome vintage wall mount light with AN original Cased green / Green overlay EMERALITE cone-shaped shade. The metal on this fixture is solid brass with a rich original patina. This lamp is probably 100 years old & surely wears its age well ! The socket cover is marked: WEBER PATENTS * has an old embossed WEBER bakelite twister paddle. ( seems to work well) THE OLD 2 1/4" FITTER IS STAMPED WITH PATENT DATES OF 1890 & 1891 . It has some older wiring which looks good. T HE CAST BRASS PART WHICH ATTACHES TO THE WALL IS BEAUTIFULLY EMBOSSED AND HAS AN ARTICULATED " KNUCKLE" WHICH ALLOWS THE SHADE ARM TO HAVE A 180 degree swivel range. (there is also a screw on the knuckle which can be tightened to secure a shade position) The old shade ( 7 1/8" dia at larger opening; 5 3/4" tall; 2 1/4" fitter) has faint remnants of the Original silver EMERALITE CZECHOSLOVAKIA stamping near its fitter area. this stamping ofen wears off over a century of use. THIS VINTAGE CASED SHADE IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS WHEN LIT (photo) & is in perfect original condition. With shade in place, measurement to edge of shade to wall at about 14 1/2". There might be the slightest of bends to the brass arm, (it is difficult to determine if it was made that way or not) it is really of no consequence if it does exist and just mention this pretty much non-issue read more
