Up for auction is a gorgeous RARE BEAUTIFUL TRUE RED EXTRA TALL, EXTRA HEAVY FLOOR VASE from the MID-CENTURY MODERNISM period. I came from a family with several other pieces that all were Blenko, but I haven't been able to identify this piece, but I am thinking it might also be Blenko. It is 37 1/2 inches tall and 9 " across the base. It weighs 8 1/2 lbs in an unpackaged state, so it is really heavy. There are several bubbles in the glass and only one straw mark about 2 inches long just left of the center towards the bottom of the vase. There are no chips, cracks, flea bites etc. It is in fantastic condition. The opening is in a "V" pattern at the base and curving in shape as it climbs to a curved center top. It will be shipped as oversized with extreme measures taken with extra Styrofoam popcorn as well as small and large bubble wrap to insure it's safety. We will also carry additional insurance all at our cost (No charge for packaging and handling) We take great pains tocarefully package your treasures to arrive safely and have an excellent historyof safe shipping without damage, so buy with confidence.
