Antique or Vintage Hand Crochet Bedspread or Tablecloth This auction is for a light cream colored hand-crochet bedspread. This spread was worked in a floral pattern of six-pedaled flowers, and each of the pedals has popcorn polka-dots. Two sides of the spread are scalloped with a finishing crochet lace, and two sides are straight with the same crochet lace edge. Expert hand-work; beautiful design and color. Heavy magnificent quality. I see no evidence of use: no holes, no stains, no repairs. This spread measures 82 by 72 inches. We have pictured this spread on our high queen bed with a dust ruffle and a fold-back vintage sheet. It fits beautifully, and I am sure it would be lovely on a double or twin bed, or it would be beautiful on a table. Please check measurements carefully to insure that the size will fit your mattress or table. Since this bedspread or cloth appears unused, I have not laundered it, and it does have a slight odor from cedar storage. This is easy to fix with a gentle soaking and line drying. I would do this myself, but right now we have 18 inches of new snow. This spread is heavy; without packing it weighs over 5.5 pounds. Carefully packaged, and ready to ship from our smoke free, pet free home to the winning bidder.
