VTG MADAME ALEXANDER COMPO COMPOSITION SCARLETT DOLL 18" Original Gown d I will be listing many many many Alexanders this week and the next several weeks that were recently purchased from a large estate in Los Angeles. There are several rare dolls and several rare tagged dresses that will be coming up so keep an eye out!!! This is for a Madame Alexander Scarlett doll made of composition and circa 1940. She is 18" tall and dressed in her original gold taffeta gown with dark velvet bodice. Her poke bonnet matches her dress and is trimmed in antique lace. Her sleeves are gathered up to three quarter length and are lace edged as is her neckline. A hoop skirt is attached to the dress. It is in really poor condition and may just be suitable for making a pattern. Lots of holes and deterioration. This Scarlett has the "blown" eyes, composition does have some crazing on her face but no lifting. Her wig looks original and is full, but is a little brittle.
