Griffin Smith Hill Majolica Syrup Pitcher . It stands 6.5" to the top of the lid. And it's signed Griffin Smith Hill E and 54 which is stamped - all under glaze. It is marked Etruscan. This lovely piece has seashells and seaweed pattern all over with a seaweed handle in various shades of green-gray and even a touch of pink.. I just noticed, (and this has been in the china cabinet for a long time to have missed this) but I just noticed that the handle has been repaired in two places and glued back on. Must have been one of our early purchases before we learned to look for signs of that. It looks like ithe handle was broken in 3 pieces, glued back together and then reattached all with clear glue, so definitely not a professional repair but not obtrusive either. It's still a lovely piece visually and perfect for display. It books for over $600.
